Kindly Requesting Assistance

Hi there,

My name is Damian and i am writing from Melbourne Australia. I have, for a long time, been very interested in Hua Yan Buddhism and have just recently come across your organisation's details. Is there anyone i could contact to learn more about the tradition in Melbourne? It would be so fortunate to meet Dharma practitioners who are like-minded.

With Metta

I am fluent in Chinese and English

Hi Damian,

Welcome!
My name is Joyce and I'm part of the Huayen Detroit group.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in Melbourne that you can contact. If I come across anyone in your area, I will try to connect you Smiling

Best Regards,
Joyce

Hi Damain:

This is LungZhi and I am in Toronto.

The present president of Huayen Buddhist Community of Australia (HYBCA) is Frank Wang, he was in Taipei the last time I saw him.

If you can send me an email address, (torontohuayen@hotmail.com) I can pass on your request to HYBCA and have someone to contact you from Australia.

Regards

TLC

Hi, this is Octavio Cortes from Mallorca, Spain. I've been reading about Huayen for a long time on my own, purchasing everything I have found in Amazon.com and today I've come across this wonderful community and web site. I wonder if anyone knows of some huayen community in Spain, since I've been unable to find anything.

Thank you very much.

Hi Octavio,

Welcome! Smiling

This is Joyce from North American Huayen Buddhist Community-Detroit. Currently I'm unaware of a Huayen community in Spain, but I'll be sure to keep you in mind if I come across anyone who is in that area.

Best Regards,
Joyce

Hi Joyce, thanks for your kind words. I'm afraid there's nothing round here. I've been en touch with zen groups and some tibetan too, but I've fallen in love with huayen and though I'm working hard on Avatamsaka and Tu Shun and Fa Tsang (I have degrees on philosophy and theology and it is a true delight for me), I'd like to know more about the parctical issues. For instance, it would be very important for me to get to know the huayen meditation. I practice the zazen I learned from the Soto community here, but I'm sure there has to be a lot more in the huayen tradition...

It's a hard road, sometimes, when you have to walk on your own. Anyway, thanks once again.
