Introduction-Looking to learn more

Hello-

My name is Gary Link and I have been practicing Buddhism for ten years. I have always been attracted to Hua Yen Buddhism and the Avatamsaka Sutra. The difficulty has been the lack of sites available and any teachings in English. I came across your site not too long ago and am very delighted.

I am looking to learn more about the Hua Yen Buddhist community, as well as, the teachings of Master Hai Yun. Looking forward to learning more.

Hi Gary:

If you read Chinese, the books 華嚴經導讀 (Book 1, 2 &
3) by Ven. Haiyun HeShang are great reference books. They give you great insight on the thinking pattern of Huayen Sutra.

For English materials, we have posted Dr. Tony Prince's article: The Outline of Avatamsaka Sutra on the Toronto website.
